This is a classic Indian restaurant, based on the original Indian restaurant theme which became popular in India during the 19th century. However, the number of Indian restaurants is dwindling, so the Tree Hotel is dedicated to preserving this legacy. You can sip on an Indian tea and nibble on some tasty grill dishes while watching the world go by. The owners are keen for the restaurant experience to be as authentic as possible. The prices are also excellent – with great lunchtime deal (Tandoori chicken for just £9.50 or a special chef’s creation “Kashmiri ghost” for £13.50) and curries and korma available for £11.50 or less all day.
