They do get on well together generally and with other cats. They are wonderful with children. We regularly get larger litters of 5 and 6 kittens, so it's not true that there are no more than 3 or 4 in a litter. They are not badly behaved (they should be raised in a home to be socialized) - but they do need companionship. If everyone is out all day we advise people to have another cat as a companion to the birman cats. They are the most brilliant companions.
